If using an AES16:
  • Verify that you are using Aurora firmware revison 10 or above.
  • Verify that either the Lynx CBL-AES1605 or a compatible cable set is used. Make sure that all cable connections are secured.
  • Verify that you can successfully pass audio from the AES16 to the Aurora.
  • Verify that you are using a hardware Rev B AES16 (Check Lynx Mixer: Mixer > About Lynx Mixer).
  • Verify that you are using AES16 Firmware Rev 22 or above (Check Lynx Mixer: Mixer > About Lynx Mixer).
  • Verify that you are using Version 2 driver Build 13f or above, or Version 1 driver Build 57c or above. (Check Lynx Mixer: Mixer > About Lynx Mixer).
  • If using multiple AES16 cards, make sure the one connected to the Aurora that you are attempting to control is identified in the Lynx Mixer as Card #1. If not, switch the PCI slot order of the cards until this card is identified as #1, or connect the Aurora to the AES16 that is identified as card #1.
If using MIDI:
  • Verify that you are using Aurora firmware revision 13 or above.
  • Verify that the MIDI Out from the PC is connected to the MIDI In on the Aurora and vice versa.
  • Verify that the MIDI interface is fully operational (i.e. can you record notes into a sequencer with a keyboard connected to the MIDI inputs?).
  • Verify that you are using Version 13 or above of the Aurora Remote Control Software.
If using Infrared:
  • Verify that you are using Aurora firmware revision 13 or above.
  • Verify that the Infrared transceiver is properly installed and configured.
  • Verify that the transceiver is within one meter of the Aurora IR Port.
  • Verify that the transceiver is identifying an IR8250P device within range before launching the Remote Control Software (usually from the Wireless Link icon in the system tray).
  • Verify that you are using Version 13 or above of the Aurora Remote Control Software.
