  • Running an ASIO application and bit-depth says 32-bit in Lynx Mixer despite project bit-depth.
  • When playing back a stereo sound file through any of the outputs, there is signal on the analog inputs.
  • The Lynx Mixer reports a sample rate of 22k when I first boot into Windows. Why?

  • After playing audio that had a sample rate of 44.1kHz, playback was attempted of a 22kHz file and the beginning of the file was truncated. Why?
  • When I play audio with different sample rates, I hear a click through my speakers when my Lynx card responds to the new sample rate. How come?
  • After installing OS X driver build 46 or above, I get Kernel Panics when launching or closing my audio software.


My computer is not recognizing the Lynx card. What could be wrong?
Windows 2000/XP
  1. Verify that the Lynx card is properly seated in a PCI slot.
  2. Download and run the latest firmware updater from the Lynx Support Website. Then try installing the driver.
  3. Check Windows Device Manager (Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager. If there is a yellow exclamation mark next to the LynxTWO in Sound, Video and Game Controllers, then there is the possibility that the card is conflicting with another system device. Power down the computer and try placing the card into a different PCI slot to resolve the conflict.
  4. Try removing the card and cleaning the PCI contacts with a soft, clean cloth and Isoprophyl. Sometimes residue can prevent good communication with the PCI bus.
  5. Run the ShowLynx (Available from http://www.lynxstudio.com/support_downloads.asp) utility from a command prompt and email the resulting text file to Lynx technical support
Mac OS9 & OSX
