How do I determine if I have the current firmware on my LT-HD and Aurora.
The most current version can be determined by reading the Aurora Firmware Release Notes: http://www.lynxstudio.com/pop/support_downloads_notes.asp?i=37 If the you have an older firmware revision, follow the directions for the Aurora Firmware Updater from the Download section of the Lynx website.
To determine what firmware revision your Aurora has, press the TRIM and POWER buttons at the same time with the power to the Aurora off. This will put the unit into a demo mode where all of the LEDs flash sequentially from left to right. Two numbers in the Meter display will flash repeatedly, one in the input row and one in the output row. If the LED flashes over the numbers 1 & 4 or above (i.e. 1&5, 1&6, etc.), then your unit is compatible with the LT-HD. If pressing Power and Trim does not cause any LEDs to flash, or causes a single number to flash, then your unit needs to be updated to work with the LT-HD.
In order to determine the LT-HD firmware revision, you would need to run the Aurora Firmware Update program (available in the Downloads section of the Lynx website) with a MIDI connection to and from the Aurora. At the Aurora Firmware Update screen, choose the LT-HD as the "Unit to Update". This will display the Current Firmware Version on the LT-HD as well as the New Firmware Version that will be present after programming.
