Lynx Hilo Converter Now Available with Chinese Language Menus

ACE and Lynx Team Up for Exclusive Hilo Model

COSTA MESA, CA & HONG KONG – NOVEMBER 14, 2014 Lynx Studio Technology and Advanced Communication Equipment (Int’l) Co,. Ltd. (ACE) today announced the availability of the Lynx Hilo converter with a dedicated Chinese menu set for operation. All of Hilo’s functions are controlled and monitored via its LCD touch screen. The English menu prompts have been translated into Chinese characters. For versatility, the end user can also revert back to the English screens.

“With Hilo, our initial goal was to offer the best possible audio conversion for mastering and other critical audio applications. Our secondary goal, made possible by the versatility offered by Hilo’s touch screen, is to add features, capabilities and functions not possible on other converters,” stated David Hoatson, Lynx cofounder and chief software engineer. “The ability to offer multiple language operation is unique to Hilo. And we decided to start with the most difficult – Chinese. With the assistance of our partners at ACE, this is now available.”

The complete Chinese menu set encompasses the four primary menu sets: Home; Tools; Information; Monitor Control as well as three meter sets and more than 25 sub menus. This is not a partial control set, as all Hilo functions are included.

The Chinese Hilo menu set is available exclusively through ACE.

Introduced in 2012, the Hilo Reference Converter provides two channels of mastering quality analog to digital conversion, up to six channels of digital to analog conversion, including a pair of secondary monitor outputs and a world class independent headphone amplifier in a compact half-rack size. Hilo’s innovative 480 x 272 touch-screen provides a flexible and intuitive interface that can adapt to a particular application and be easily upgraded with enhancements and new features. Front panel controls support extensive signal routing and mixing, sample rate selection, clock source options, levels, metering and diagnostic features.

Hilo completely redefines and evolves the category of the two channel converter. Of utmost importance is the audio signal quality. The completely new design of the analog stages and converter topology for Hilo break new ground in terms of lowering distortion and noise while maintaining transparency for A/D and D/A conversion. Hilo has 12 total inputs, 16 total outputs plus 16 I/O channels its LSlot port (for USB, Pro Tools HD and Thunderbolt connectivity). Windows and OS X compatible.
