Lynx Studio Technology Releases Windows XP 64-bit Drivers

ANAHEIM, CA - JANUARY 19, 2006 Lynx Studio Technology announced at the Anaheim NAMM Show that 64-bit drivers have been released for the LynxTWO, Lynx L22 and AES16 models. These 192 kHz mastering quality interfaces may now be used in AMD Athlon™ 64 and Opteron™ 64, Intel® Xeon® 64-bit and EM64T based computers. This allows the 64-bit version of Cakewalk® SONAR 5 as well as any 32-bit application to use Lynx hardware using Windows XP Professional 64-bit edition.

Features include:
* 64-bit WDM driver
* 64 and 32-bit ASIO support
* 64-bit Kernel component that allows MME; DirectSound and Direct Kernel Streaming applications in 32 or 64-bit

"We are seeing a growing numbers of requests for 64-bit and we want to assure our customers that we are at the leading edge of support for this growing segment," stated David A. Hoatson, Lynx co-founder and Chief Software Architect. "One of the advantages of 64-bit is the ability to access more than 4 gigabytes of RAM, which is crucial for large track count recordings at 192 kHz."
