I am using Sonar Platinum with a Lynx AES16e card and Aurora 16.
At one time until recently, I could always hearing  my live mic(s) when clicking on record in Sonar.
Now I have to click on input echo on the Sonar program as well to hear the live mics.

Is there something in the AES16e or Aurora software that allows for direct monitoring of these live mics without having to use the input echo (monitoring I suppose) in Sonar?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
AB

There is a way to do that, but have you also tried this:

list-imageGlobal Input Echo button. The Input Echo On/Off All Tracks button in the Control Bar’s Mix module turns input monitoring on or off on all audio tracks with one click.

Is the echo button part of the Lynx AES16e software or the Aurora.  I assume the AES16e.  THANKS!

Hi Alan,

Apologies for the confusion...What I posted was taken from the Sonar manual...

Does the lynx AES16e software allow for direct monitoring of the signal coming in? It use to do so.  I hope the latest does.

Yes absolutely.

With the latest driver for AES16e, you select an Output from the bottom section of the Mixer. When you do that, ALL sources above the Outputs feed that selected output....Inputs at the top row of faders, Play channels from the computer in the middle row.

Yes.  And I had to click on the "m" on top to have that channel be unmuted and allow the microphone to be heard.  I love the new mixer by the way.  Great job.  I just forgot about how to do that unmuting!

Ahh yes, excellent point. The default is that only Play channels assigned to their default outputs (1 to 1 assigns) are Unmuted.
