Like to get some advise regarding the proper buffer type settings when using the LYNX PCI 16e with REAPER in an OSX Sierra SUMMING DAW.

Unfortunately, this is a question with no exact answer, since it depends on computer processor, sample rate, number and type of plug-ins etc.

At 96K, with the latest driver and firmware, you should be able to use 64 or 128 sample buffer but again, this is just an estimate. Your buffer may vary.

I'm asking mostly because of Reaper. I get these funny 'pfft' sounds occasionally. It's a known thing about Reaper and I am hoping on the Lynx side of things there will be some known routines.

I am running 96 with latest .

What would you say would be the most stable settings for 8 channel playback, If I don't care about latency. The same with the DAW settings?
I have a 20 core XEON MAC on Sierra.

One of the issues is that REAPER on Mac has a bit of a rep -

Anyways - Appreciate your input.

Thanks

If you do not care about latency (mixing for example), I would just max out the buffer setting.

"One of the issues is that REAPER on Mac has a bit of a rep -"  Interesting...kind of like Pro Tools on a PC.... :-)
