Subject: Control Panel Speakers instead of output 1&2
Date Posted: November/21/2017 at 12:49am
Greetings
I am using a the Lynx Aurora (n) 16 - and I am not able to get sound out of outputs 1/2 using Sonar.

3&4, 5&6, etc show up in the windows control panel under "sounds."   There is no 1&2 in control panel/sounds.  Is this normal?  Should I be using the "Speakers" for outputs 1&2?  The speakers output on the computer is a lot louder.  But it does not seem to work with Sonar - just things like youtube, media player, etc.

QUESTION: - how do I get 1/2 to show up in the control panel under sounds? - Windows 10.

THANKS in advance.

AB

Yes, in Windows-Speak, "Speakers" are Play 1 & 2.

Here is my problem.  I thought at one time it said speakers and PLay 1&2 in Windows.  Now it just says Speakers.  And when I play from youtube, the sound goes through the Lynx mixer - no problem.

But when I play from Sonar and have a track going to output one and two - I get nothing in the Lynx mixer.  I wonder what I am doing wrong.  Should there be a "speakers" checkmark in Sonar - because there is not.

I suppose I will write on the Sonar forum as well.  I wonder if it is a Lynx Mixer issue - where I have a wrong setting there?

THANKS for all your help.

youtube, iTunes etc uses the Windows driver....Sonar likely uses ASIO.

Is Sonar using LYNX ASIO as the device?

Are Windows programs closed when you try Sonar (Browser, iTunes, Media Player, etc.)?

Sounds good.

You're very welcome, anytime! But don't thank me until the issue is resolved.... Wink

I got it working, but I am not sure how.  Maybe it is best not to ask and just be thankful as it is almost Thanksgiving!
