Hi

I’m looking to upgrade my pc and was wondering if there are any recommended specs for use with the Lynx2A card?

My current (very old) setup has: Intel core2 duo 2.6 Ghz, 2 gig Ram, not sure what motherboard, WinXP Prof.

As far as motherboards, would either of these possibly be suitable:

I have a Win7 Professional licence so was planning on using that

Thanks

Hi,

There have been very good results with the ASUS mobos and our PCI cards (more-so than with Gigabyte mobos).

Just make sure that you have our latest http://www.lynxstudio.com/upload/V2Setup23.exe" rel="nofollow - driver and http://www.lynxstudio.com/upload/L2Update26d.exe" rel="nofollow - firmware and that you set your Performance settings in Windows to High Performance and all Power Saving OFF. Also, you will want to make sure all C-States and Speed Step settings are Disabled in the BIOS as they affect processor performance through power management as well.
