Why do I get a clipping, feedbacky underwater buzz sound when I attempt to record my computer's internal audio with Hilo? LOL

Not sure what you are asking here.

What operating system?
How are you routing things?

Mac, latest OS.

I was trying to put an EQ on my computer audio output so I could have control over anything playing through the computer.

I attempted to do this using Soundflower and AU Lab.

In System Prefs-Audio, My Output was Soundflower.

AU Lab input was Soundflower. Added a Graphic EQ to the channel.

Au Lab output was Hilo.

The moment I hit play on the audio source (in this case youtube) I got a loud buzz that slowly increases in amplitude until it clips and repeats endlessly until I mute or change the settings.

It's like a doubling or feedback or something.

In Hilo, my settings were USB Play 1/2 was active, and Monitor Out.

Try doing a Restore Defaults on the Hilo to make sure you don't have something else routed - otherwise it seems like this problem isn't related to the Hilo, but to your loopback software.
