Hi there -

I've been using my Aurora 16 with the TB card and OSX 10.8.5 on my Macbook Pro with no problems. Recently I've added a UA Satellite TB and now I cannot operate at the same low buffer settings without pops.  At 256 samples is usually ok but that means loosing the low sample rate (64/128).  Does anyone have any advice for this setup?

Thanks!

Jam.

Has no one else experienced this? I'm hoping not. Tongue

How do you have the UA & LT-TB connected to the MacBook Pro?

If you connect the UA first then the Aurora-TB does that make a difference?  How about the other way around?

Hi David -

I connect the Aurora first, then the UA.  I have tried both ways but no difference.

Thanks

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks

Is the UA by itself capable of lower buffer sizes without distortion? If not, whenever you use multiple devices in an aggregate, you'll be restrained to performance of the least efficient member of the aggregate. Could you connect the Satellite via AES digital rather than Thunderbolt? That could be a solution.

Can you explain the "Satellite via AES digital rather than Thunderbolt"?  I'm not sure I know how.

Thanks

Sorry, I just checked the product page for the Satellite and that is not an option.
Does your MacBook have two thunderbolt ports? If so, you can try connecting them independently. Otherwise, you might check with UA, there may be some tips to improve its efficiency.
