I need to use Jriver Line in.  I have Dante setup correctly, I think.  I have screenshots of the controller below.  In Jriver, I select dante sound card as the asio line in and select the sample rate at 48khz, which the same as selected in the dante controller.  The Jriver output is also dante virtual soundcard. I get an error message that something went wrong with playback.  I've tried all of the input channels and I get the same error message.

Hi Michael,

I couldn't see the pix, it says they are not available.

The thing about Dante, is that all device devices should behave exactly the same. The main thing, from the hardware perspective, is that you have the Sync Source on the Hilo set to "dante", and the routing in its default state.

Apart from that,  the conflict would really be between Virtual Soundcard and J River.
You might check with Audinate support resources and see if there is any known issue here: https://audinate.com/support ;
