No matter what settings I use I simply cannot get Audirvana stable with my Hilo when in DSD mode, I have a Quad 4.0ghz iMac with 16gb of ram so it cannot be my computer, it has absolutely no issues if I run my DSD files in PCM mode.
Is there an ideal pairing for playing DSD files with the Hilo? Im pretty gutted at how bad it is right now.

We have tested with JRiver Media Center and it works fine. Could you please be more specific as to what is not working for you with DSD mode and Audirvana? What version of macOS are you using?

Dropouts, glitches and pops with the audio, OS is El Capitan. And I have tried every possible configuration. I'll take a look at JRiver even though it looks horrible.

Ahhhh, found a newer version of JRiver on the forum, they've it's a lot tidier than the last version I took a look at.

So far so good with JRiver, I seem to have lost some album information and artwork but so far no glitches in DSD mode.
