Hello people,
I am not sure if this post is of any value to anyone, I might just be stating the obvious here. I just made a discovery that finally solved a lot of issues I've had with my recording setup. I've had trouble synching the converters properly or having them stay in synch. Also, I've had some odd behaviour in the software, etc. which I could never get to go away. A couple of weeks ago, I did a few tweaks to my system, and the one thing that made every problem go away, was setting the entire system to the same sampling rate. I had never tried doing this before. Go figure... I run my recording projects in 24bit - 48k across all daw programs. But the Windows system was still set to 44.1k. When I finally set everything to 48k, all those issues went away. Immediately. This might be painfully obvious to most, and I should probably be ashamed, but there you go. Hopefully this will help others who have stability issues with their setups, and now you won't have to out yourselves as complete novices :) |

Thanks for the feedback.
When clocked externally, what you describe can be critically important.
