Hey there,

About a year ago I got an Aurora 16 with the LT-FW card installed in it. Its all been going great. I only get a lot of latency while tracking if I am running certain plugins, so I tend to just use Logic Pro 9's built in EQ's and Cytomic Glues for comp and stick to that for tracking - keep it basic etc.

Anyway, I have a stable running system, but I am really keen to start getting more up-to-date with my software. My Mac Pro desktop in the studio is still running Snow Leopard and I am having support issues now with some 3rd part plugs which are requiring me to run a higher OS.

I think its time to upgrade OS, and if I do that, I'd probably upgrade to Logic X as well.

I run mix with mostly Slate and UAD2 software.

Can someone tell me some detailed info about how safe this is to do, what the current support is like for the Aurora 16 LT-FW in conjunction with all of this software changing?

Many thanks,
Steve.

The driver for the LTFW is built into macOS, so generally its a safe move as far as that goes.
I have heard of some LTFW users experiencing problems with Sierra, so if you have an option to go up to El Cap, that might be a safer bet.
