Hi David,
Sorry for the confusion....
1. Right. When you are monitoring through the DAW, you can send to any outputs you like, using the mixer in the DAW.....all tracks to Outs 1 & 2 for example.
2. When DIRECT MONITORING before the DAW, you cannot send the analog inputs from the first Aurora to the analog outputs of the second Aurora. If you are talking about sending the analog out of Aurora 1 to the analog in of Aurora 2 for monitoring, you can do that (though you are taking up two outs and two ins). They will not, however, be sample aligned, since there is a D/A and A/D conversion happening...

Thanks for response Mike.
I always seem to get routing blindness. Am I misunderstanding, I thought TB passed the audio so I can monitor all 24 channels of the two after computer in the Daw.
If monitor pre computer with two Auroras, can I just connect one audio out from one to audio in of the other to enable monitoring of all channels. How do I set the mixer routing to make that work? . Thanks David

Hi David,
Replies under your questions:
If I daisy chain do both Auroras have to be on to pass the TB signals? ***Yes, both need to be powered on
If
linked separately will the mixer software aggregate the two separate
Aurora, showing the interfaces switched on either 8, 16 or 24 channels? ***Yes, each Aurora will appear as a separate tab in the Lynx Mixer, showing the appropriate number of channels.
If separate will they need word clock cabling between them? ***Yes, one set to INTERNAL, one to EXTERNAL
Can i route audio via the mixer between the hardware on each aurora? i.e. monitor all 24 channels from one aurora output? ***No, there is no way to cross-monitor, since there is no physical audio path connection between the two.

I am about to get a second LT-TB for an Aurora 16 to add to my existing channels from an Aurora 8 TB, but have some queries on the pro-cons of this.
I have two working studio rooms and am trying to decide the best way to configure, either one Aurora per room connected via TB each connected directly to computer, or daisy chaining the two auroras via TB.
If I daisy chain do both Auroras have to be on to pass the TB signals?
If linked separately will the mixer software aggregate the two separate Aurora, showing the interfaces switched on either 8, 16 or 24 channels?
If separate will they need word clock cabling between them?
Can i route audio via the mixer between the hardware on each aurora? i.e. monitor all 24 channels from one aurora output?
Any info would be appreciated, especially any potential pitfalls.
Thanks David
