Is it possible to have Syncrolock OFF on the AES16e when the AES16e is the Clock Source?

I see in the Lynx Mixer that I can make the Syncrolock text box be grey or highlighted blue, but since "Locked" is always lit up green it's not clear if it's possible to disable Syncrolock or not when AES16e is the internal clock source.

When AES16e is set to INTERNAL, SynchroLock is actually not active.

Thanks for clarifying. This is not exactly clear in the Lynx Mixer app.

What is your two cents about clocking? Generally speaking, would you suggest clocking internally via the AES16e? Or rather from either my Crane Song HEDD or HILO?

Can all this be clocked via AES or is it advised to use Word Clock cables looping from the AES16e, to the HEDD, to the HILO, and back to the HEDD?

Sorry Mike, but this is actually incorrect.  When the AES16e is on INTERNAL SynchroLock cannot be disabled.  When you turn off SynchroLock, you are using the PLL instead of the VCXO.  For INTERNAL, the AES16e always uses the VCXO.  Lynx Mixer lets you turn off the SynchroLock switch when the clock source is set to INTERNAL, but the SynchroLock indicator stays LOCKED because the AES16e is still using the VCXO.  I agree this could be improved to be clearer.
Thank you,

Thanks for clarifying. There have been more than a few posts in mastering forums about the SyncroLock sounding strange. This and a few other things has me considering an RME AES card which has been reported to not have this issue.

The random renaming of the AES16e card from AES16e to Lynx AES16e with no insight on if or when it might get changed back so the device remains compatible with my exiting software configurations and routing is also a turn off.
