Aurora 16 LT-FW with new Macbook Pro

Hello there,

I have an Aurora 16 with LT-FW card and I need to buy a new laptop, which normally should be a MacBook...and I would like to avoid having to buy a new LT Thunderbolt card if possible. I assume that I would either buy a 2015 Macbook with Thunderbolt 2 or new 2017 Macbook with Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C

Has anyone tested successfully Aurora + LT-FW with Thunderbolt 2 or 3 ports? Any relevant hints or advice?

I guess the necessary setup would be

Macbook Thunderbolt 2 port --> (Thunderbolt 2 - FW800 Adapter) --> (FW800 - FW400 cable) --> Aurora LT-FW

or (worst case)

Macbook Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port --> (Thunderbolt 3 - Thunderbolt 2 adapter)--> (Thunderbolt 2 - FW800 Adapter) --> (FW800 - FW400 cable) --> Aurora LT-FW
