That particular motherboard does not work. I tried it. Gigabyte support said all their Z170 boards are the same for PCI. I got a MSI Z170A Krait Gaming board working. See:

With a GigaByte board you need to update the firmware to rev 35. Without that the card likely will not work, and once in the GigaByte you probably won't be able to update it. Make sure and update it from a different computer.

Hi, I'm considering the GIGABYTE GA-Z170-HD3P.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm moving to a Skylake CPU and a Z170 mb with a PCI legacy slot. Should I anticipate any problems with my Lynx Two A?

Cheers
