hello all -

- i have two aes16e cards feeding two aurora 16s.
- the second aes16e is slaved to the first card via the internal clock cable.
- the first aes clock is slaved to a Grimm CC1 clock via bcn cable

a handful of times throughout my studio day, the second aurora 16 will dropout of syncrolock, causing a "pop" in the audio. It then re-establishes syncrolock and then operates normally until another dropout and "pop"

I have recently moved studios, so i thought the internal cable between the two aes cards may be the culprit. I opened the machine and re-set the cable, however the issue persists.

This is a new issue, the system performed without issue for months before moving, so I am concerned that it's a hardware issue.

any ideas?

best,
Brett

Since you are using an external clock anyway, perhaps you should run wordclock cables from the Grimm to each Aurora. Set the Auroras to EXT then set both AES16e cards to "Digital In 1". Lets see if that works more reliably.
