I have been mixing/monitoring through my dangerous bus and printing back to reaper, but not monitoring the final mix coming out of my Aurora. Someone hipped me to this video and diagram and I have been trying to make it work right.

I believe I have everything setup right in the physical world, but my DAW is reaper and I am not able to get the AES output of the Aurora to monitor correctly through my Dangerous Source.

I am trying to achieve what is explained here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrxHd-A1oGg

and shown in diagram here:
http://dangerousmusic.com/media/source-pdf.pdf

When I monitor AN 1 I hear my mix (This is 7 stereo pairs coming out of reaper -> aurora -> bus -> then back into the aurora on inputs 9/10).

When I monitor AES/SPDIF I only get what is on outputs 1-2  (this should be dangerous bus main out through outboard, back into aurora, then out to Source via AES).

When I watch the Digital Output meters in Remote Control, they all look like they are outputting signal, but only the signal from 1-2 are making it back through the AES.

My only note is that I had to set up the digital outs to monitor Analog in 9-16.

Then I unmuted 9-10 in Remote Control and I was good.

I can now switch from AN1 to monitor the Dangerous 2 Bus "Monitor" outputs, or I can switch to AES which allows me to monitor the Dangerous 2 Bus -> compressor -> EQ -> and back into the Aurora on channels 9-10.

Hope this helps anyone else trying to figure this out.
