If a client gives me a 44.1Khz 32bit float and asks to be mastered with end results being 96Khz 24 bit.
Can I do that with only one Computer and one HILO?

My thought is
1- bring the original file through the S/PDIF at 44.1Khz
2- send out the audio from the Analog LINE OUT
3- Process signal with outboard gear (EQ, compressors, etc...)
4- Record the signal from the Analog Line IN at 96Khz

If this correct, then how will I be able to send the original signal from my DAW that is set to 96KHz to be able to record the incoming signal?
Can I open two different DAWs and one is set to 44.1Khz and sends the original track through the S/PDIF
while the other DAW is set to 96Khz, and record the incoming Analog signal?

The Hilo cannot operate at two different sample rates at once, i.e. one rate for playback, and another rate for recording.

There is very high quality sample rate conversion onboard that acts on the digital inputs. So if you could start from an external digital device or different computer with a digital output, you could upsample to 96k on the way in.
