Hello.  I have an Aurora 16, via PCIe into a Mac (OSX 10.9.4).  I haven't updated my firmware in awhile (version 24), and before I install the new lynx Thunderbolt card thought I'd do so.  When I started the firmware update, I got the message "Unable to locate an Aurora" .  I was able to update the lynx mixer to version 1.0 build 56A.  My AES16e is firmware 13.1.,my Aurora's firmware version is version 24.  I tried unplugging the power cord to the Aurora and holding the trim button to "reset" things, but that hasn't made a difference so far.  When i try to open the lynx remote control panel in the dock I also get the "Unable to locate an Aurora" message.
I feel when I missed the past Aurora firm wear updates, that might be throwing things off.... but I don't see any older updates posted on the downloads page to help catch up.
Any suggestions on getting this Aurora firmware updated to 28 and my Mac seeing the Aurora in the Lynx remote control panel?

tonight i was able to get a different MIDI interface (Native Inst's Maschine Studio) to help me connect the Aurora via midi in and out.  Now the midi light on the front of the Aurora is full lit green (I assume thats good).  i have all other cables disconnected, so only midi is connected at this point.  The ARC now boots up on my Mac Book pro, showing it is connected to the Aurora with the current firmware rev 24. .  however when i go to install the new firmware update (v28), i still get "unable to locate an aurora"?   ...i'm so close, what am i doing wrong??

Hello,

We have found an issue with updating an Aurora via AES16e with the latest driver elements. A new Aurora Update app should be coming out soon to address this. In the meantime, you might reverting to driver 56 (not 56a) and see if that resolves it:
