wow, have not heard of a problem like that before. Do you have another multi-track audio app that you can try that with? Have you tried trashing your ProTools preferences? 

Have you tried a lower sample rate, as a troubleshooting step?

Since Avid is sure to blame Lynx... I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else is having this problem :)

I can't even record one track on a brand new system. 

PT 11.1.3  Brand new iMac using aurora 16 with thunderbolt card. 

Session running playback no problem  about 20 tracks at 24/96.  Then, just arming a track into record, just one track spikes the cpu at 100 percent and freaks it out completely. I have to record 14 track simultaneously so... it's an issue to say the least. 


problem happens on external and internal drives no matter where session is stored or being recorded too. 

Running latest mavericks
