That's my impression.

Hey guys,

I just got my Hilo and I'm having the same problem. Seems like the only way to not get distorted audio and get the inputs not to show up on 6,7,8 USB play is to shut the unit off by the front panel blue button. And I'm the same way with turning off features I don't need. Does restoring to Hilo default settings fix the problem?  Did you guys ever figure out a permanent solution to this?

Also it seems like the unit has trouble locking to different sampling rates when you change from say 44.1 to 48khz. At least Pro Tools 11 thinks so. If I'm just working in 44.1 sessions, then it works fine, but as soon as I want to switch to a 48khz session, it's like it doesn't immediately lock to 48khz so I play my Pro Tools session.

Thanks
Calvin

Hi Mike,

The first thing I did when I got the Hilo this week was update to Firmware 6.1. The issue still happens

Can you go to the Info page and look at About Hilo and make sure it updated to 6.1 (if you have not already done that)? Thanks!

does restoring defaults, from the Tools page, clear the problem?

A few days ago I have turned off all USB outputs except 1&2 as this is all I need now. Soon after that USB inputs 6, 7 and 8 started showing signal, but it couldn't be heard. And also a few times Hilo had problems locking in on the right frequency, resulting in noise.

I thought this was PC related, as unplugging USB in my case has brought channels 6-8 back to quiet state. The info in this thread will save me a lot of time looking for problems where there aren't any, but hopefully Lynx will sort this out for good in the future. For the time being keeping all the USB outputs active seems to make this problem go away.

I tried restoring default settings and keeping all usb channels active. Seems the problem still occurs just as often. Does anyone have anything else that I could try?? seems like the only way to get the unit to lock to an actual sample rate is to shut the unit off sometimes multiple times

We just released Hilo USB Driver Version 2.20 for Windows.  Please give that a try, and if you still find that you are having trouble changing sample rates, please give a precise step-by-step way of reproducing the issue.
Thank you,
