I have problem with clicks and pops on my new system when trying to use buffer size under 512 (from 256 and down) On my 9 year old system I could go down to 32 sample buffer and there was still no clicks and pops. It’s the same in PT 12, SONAR Platinum and Studio One Pro.

I have also tried to run Latencymon and it shows that my system is good enough for audio. I have the latest firmware and drives for the AES16e (but not the latest firmware for the Aurora)

My new system is as follows:
ASUS X99-E, Socket-2011-3,Intel Core i7-6850K, Noctua NH-U9S CPU Cooler, Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2133MHz 16GB, Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 PCIe SSD (System), Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD (Data), Samsung 850 EVO 1TB 2.5" SSD (Sample), WD Desktop Black 1TB 3.5" (Audio), Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Windforce, Corsair RM750x 750W PSU, Samsung 34" LED Curved C34F791, Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Lynx AES16e, Aurora 16, Sonar, Pro Tools Studio One

I have done all the recommended tweaks in WIN 10, have all drivers updated, etc.

Any Ideas how I could find the problem?

Please try Firmware 13.2 on AES16e and let us know what happens.

Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply (have been one week on vacation). I tried this yesterday evening, and it seemed to do the trick. I worked with tracking and overdubbing for about 4-5 hours last night. All at 64 sample buffer and with NO clicks and pops in audio stream
