Hello Mike ,

Sorry about taking some time to get back to you .
That solved it  !!
Thanks for that !!

I play the concert flute ( classical music and improvised contemporary music ) and clarity of sound is really important to this type of playing .  The Lynx Auroras and the AES cards completely satisfy this need for clarity and so I really appreciate their quality of build .  And that you stand behind your product by offering real tech support is also deeply appreciated .

Thanking You ,
Ross

I see that you are using Driver 58D...Please try 58B here. First use the Uninstaller in the 58B folder...

Thanks David and Mike for your replies ,

I have one of the AES16e cards set as master clock and this has worked fine with the previous setup I have been running .

I have downloaded the firmware updater for 13.2 ( Firmware Updater 20150225 for PCIe (AES16e, E22, E44) and Thunderbolt )  but when I try to open it I get the following message :
"There are no Lynx AES16e audio cards available to update! "
I have closed down cubase and other audio programs while trying this and have restarted the computer as well but always get the same message .

Do I perhaps have to uninstall the 14.1 version first ? and if so is there an uninstaller on the Mac for this ?

I look forward to your reply ,
Thanks ,
Ross

Do you have the two AES16e cards clocked together with a CBL-ICC?  That would be needed to make sure there is only one device set as the master clock.  If you didn't have that, the two cards would drift apart and eventually would go out of sync and you would get distortion like you are describing.
Thank you,

Hello Forum ,

I have an Aurora 8 and Aurora 16 connected into 2 AES16e cards in a Mac computer ( Mac Pro - mid 2010 ) .  I have set up an Aggregate device and combined these and use Cubase 9.5.10.

I recently upgraded the Mac operating system to 10.13.2 ( High Sierra ) and the Auroras and AES16e cards to the latest firmware this being indicated on the Lynx site as being compatible ( info from the Lynx Mixer attached below ) and now have a couple of glitches with the system .

On startup the auroras initially show the correct settings :
Sample rate : 96
Sync source : AES - A
To analogue out : AES- in
To Digital out : Analogue in

but as Cubase opens they change to :

To analogue out : all 3 lights lit
To digital out : all 3 lights lit

I then manually change these to the correct settings given above and the Auroras then pass audio .

The other glitch is an intermittently occurring distortion  for about half the time I use them ..  seems to get worse the longer the system is running . Restating the computer / Cubase / and the Auroras sometimes stops the distortion and sometimes doesn't .

Do I have to reset the Auroras to factory defaults or are these components somehow incompatible ??

I hope you can help me with this ,
Thanks in advance ,
Ross
