Yes, the sound becomes more flat.

I've tried that already, more stable but still have issues.  Do you mean do not limit it to stereo only?

If we are talking about DSD, then check the boxes "Exclusive Access Mode" and "Use Large Core Audio I/O Buffer".
Without a mark of "Use Stereo Only".

Hi,
I'm having problems with clicks and dropouts no matter what settings I use, I don't appear to have any issues if I run it in PCM mode though, has anybody else encountered this problem?  I'm on the USB model, on a late 2014 iMac quad 4.0ghz with 16gb of ram running El Capitan so I'm assuming I have enough grunt.  Thank's in advance for any tips you have.
