Hello

I just purhaced Lynx aurora TB and i need PC computer with thunderbolt port

I am planing to built PC with motherboard GIGABYTE - GA-Z170X-UD5 TH ( it is thunderbolt3 motherboard ) and than connect lynx with TBT3 to TBT adapter https://www.startech.com/Cables/thunderbolt-3-cables/thunderbolt-3-usb-c-thunderbolt-adapter~TBT3TBTADAP

Can anyone confirm that it will work?

Or

I can get older motherboard Ga-97x-UD7 th  it is thunderbolt 2 motherboard

If anyone had expirience with that combination and will this work?

We have one of the Startech adapters on order and will let you know once we have tested with it.

So I built a brand-new computer a few months ago without thinking that I might want to use a thunderbolt interface. So now, I am about to buy a new motherboard that is thunderbolt 3 compatible. I am also interested if the startech adapter won't work to connect to the Aurora 16 to my computer. If not, I will have to buy a motherboard with thunderbolt two connectors.

We have tested the Startech adapter and it works. Tested with Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 15. Obviously we cannot test it with macOS yet since there are no TBT3 Macintosh computers yet.
