Hello!

I use a Lynx Hilo USB and use all of its physical ins and outs, both analog and digital. I'm looking for a way to add more.. both digital and analog. Are there options for expanding the device in any way?

Thanks!
Jelle

Are you using the S/PDIF Optical I/O as S/PDIF or ADAT?  That would be the only way to expand the I/O on a single Hilo - to use and external device (like an Aurora 8 with an LT-ADAT card).
Thank you,

Yes, using ADAT. Really have everything connected. Love it but would simply like to expand keeping the hilo as main interface. Any options via the Lslot expansion? Maybe even daisy chain?
Thanks.

If you are already using the ADAT I/O, then perhaps a second Hilo. Are you using OSX or Windows?

At the moment OS X but might be dual booting in the future.

With OSX you could add a second Hilo or an Aurora USB for more I/O. Not possible with Windows though.

Ah yes as an aggregate device? Would that also work well with the AES16e? That would actually fit my needs.
Will I then be able to also access the Hilo from the Lynx mixer or do I have to route that in my DAW?

New options raise new questions.. ;) Thx again for helping.

You could use a Hilo and AES16e as an aggregate, but because they are completely different drivers with different latencies, etc, it has potential to be more problematic.
You would control the Hilo still through the Hilo remote, and the AES16e through the Lynx Mixer.
