Hi guys,
How would you recommend my word clock / Loop synk setup for the following gear?
Avid 16HD
Digidesign 96
Aurora 16 Firmware 28, LT-HD firmware 11
Apogee DA16X
Apogee AD16X

My current setup:
Avid 16 is loop sync master with the Aurora LT-HD and Digidesign 96 in the loop. The Apogees are connected to word clock out from the Avid 16 chained via T connector.

All seems to work fine but the apogees. They get really strange sample rate readings, right now they read 54,91kHz with Pro tools off. They also seem to change samplerate pretty strange when i open sessions with different sample rates.
I've had some issues in the past when recording in 96kHz. They don't seem to follow pro tools. Is there a special way change sample rates when using the LT-HD? I rea the manual but to be hones, i didn't quite get it..

I don't think the Apogees support Loop Sync. Have you tried just using the HD I/O Wordclock Out instead of LoopSync?
Also, with that many converters, it wouldn't be a bad idea to look into some clock distribution. That long of a daisy chain with such different devices can get a little out of hand.
