I have a Lynx Hilo and need more than the 2 analog inputs.  I've got 4 great mic pres and a Digi 003, is there any way to hook the 003 up to the Hilo so that I can record more than 2 channels at a time?  If not, what are recommended devices for ADC that work well with Hilo?  Preferably that will allow me to track more than 2 inputs at the same time and keep them separated (am I correct in thinking the other ADC would have to be hooked up via ADAT to do this?)...

Thanks!

Hi,

Couple of questions:  1) Are you using Hilo with USB or Thunderbolt?  2) Using Mac or PC?

You absolutely can do that via ADAT. Keep in mind that Hilo should be the Master clock and your 003 should be Slaved to it. Also, you are using the 003's A/D conversion of course so keep that in mind when deciding which mic pres to connect to Hilo and 003.

Any external A/D can be used with Hilo since it has AES, SPDIF and ADAT.
