Topic: Exclamation Mark When Booting Lynx Mixer Posted: September/12/2015 at 7:57pm |
Hello all,
New here. I recently swapped out my LS-ADAT card for LS-TB. My problem is after downloading the core audio driver (build 58) for my OS X (10.10.2) application, it seems that the Lynx Mixer is not recognizing. I checked over my card installation, which I followed to the T, to see if I may missed out something. The green status LED light is working fine; and checking over on the System Profiler->Thunderbolt under Utilities Folder, the Lynx card is recognize.
Please Help! Thank you for reading.

What I'm getting upon booting up the mixer:
"Lynx Mixer
This application only supports the AES16e. E44, E22, and LT-TB audio cards."

Disregard the thread. Found the solution of my problem. Turns out the LT-TB card has PROM switches. I was lucky enough to find an old thread with similar issue I was having. Thanks!
Lynx Aurora is now rocking! Sounds much deeper than before when I was pairing it up with my old Digidesign 003.
The manual should make this clear.

Hi,
We are sorry you ran into an issue with the card, but we are happy that you are up and running and that you are liking what you are (finally) hearing.
Were both PROM switches set to OFF? PROM 2 should be set to ON.

Hi Mike,
Thanks. Both PROM switches were OFF. I spent about 5 hours figuring out why the driver wasn't working with the card with numerous install/uninstall old and current drivers. Awful experience! It got me thinking maybe my card was faulty as I did not see the LED flash when disconnecting TB cable. Good thing I was able to find an old thread here describing similar situation.
Is there sonic difference using the LT-ADAT and LT-TB cards? Before, I'm clocking the Lynx Aurora as master to Digidesign 003. I know the ADAT card is limited to 48khz sample rate. Seems everything is sounds rounder and smoother.
Thanks.

Hi,
Apologies again. I will make sure this is addressed.
You may be hearing a decrease in jitter perhaps. Optical has quite a bit of jitter and the 003, while locked to the ADAT signal, does not have our SynchroLock technology to remove it.
