Hi there, anyone knows how to bounce back a stereo mix to an aurora 8 w/ LT ADAT card?
Gear : digi 003, Imac Aurora 8.
what should be the settings on the front panel of the Aurora?
Should the lights on the ins and outs be on? or only the outs? (lower row)
on my I/O´s in pro tools I have ADAT on outputs 9 -17, Tnx.
I hate digital...

Are you wanting to send the signals from the 003 ADAT ports back to ADAT inputs? Is the intention to capture the mix with processing?
If so, you could achieve this by setting TO DIGITAL OUT to "LSLOT IN". This will route the Aurora ADAT inputs back to the ADAT outputs. You need to be careful that Input monitoring is turned OFF in ProTools, or else the output is going to a non-ADAT destination. Otherwise you will get a horrendous feedback loop.

thing is when I try to bounce I don't see the ADAT 1-2 option in the bounce window, Before I used to see it, don't know what happened, Maybe some misconfiguration on the I/O's window?

Make sure that the Optical format didn't get changed to SPDIF in the ProTools hardware setup. Or else you may need to choose defaults in the I/O setup.

Ok. everything was working perfect, I even bounced through the aurora and now all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore….< id="pageBrightnessCustom">body{zoom:117%!important;}
Got my outputs 9-10 to ADAT 1-2 and input to ADAT 1-2 on my mix bus, this is how I did it when it worked,got the slot in to "To Digital Out" and nothing happens..any ideas?

Do you get any meter activity on the Aurora meter display?
Perhaps you can try this test to see if the ADAT I/O is functional:

* Restore defaults on the Aurora. You do this by holding down the SAMPLE RATE button while plugging in the AC Power cord.
* On the Aurora front panel, set the source for TO ANALOG OUT to "Analog In".
* Connect a signal source (i.e. mic pre, cassette, keyboard output, etc. ) into Aurora Analog Inputs 1 and 2.
* Connect speakers or a headphone amp to Analog Outputs 1 and 2.
* Pass signal to the inputs, do you hear sound from the outputs?
* Now connect an optical cable from the LT-ADAT ADAT Out 1 directly to ADAT In 1.
* On the Aurora from Panel change TO ANALOG OUT to "LSLOT In"
* Pass signal again to the analog inputs. do you still get signal on the analog outputs? If so the LT-ADAT is installed correctly and working.

Hi, Paul, I've been mixing through the aurora like this :
Sample rate = 48
Sync Source  = INT
To Analog out = AES In
To Digital out = SLOT In
Meter =  Digital
The lower leads on the meters Of the Aurora (out) were flashing and I could hear the difference on the sound.I had the output on my master bus to outputs 9-10=>ADAT 1-2
and on my mix bus input i had it to ADAT 1-2.
Lights 1 and 2 on the lower row of the Aurora were flashing and everything was going smooth, and then one day all of a sudden the upper and lower rows on the aurora were flashing RED and not only 1 and 2 but several of 'em , is this normal? sound is ok but I'm worried, I even tried the sessions I did before and now it happens on those ones too! what's going on? checked all my I/O's set up in pro tools and everything is as it was before……Confused.Unhappy
