hey, i searched around and i don't seem to find my answer so here it goes.

Got an aurora8 connected to macpro via AES16e with no problems.
the aurora also has the adat expansion connected to a (don't shoot me) Behringer Powerplay via ADAT.

what i'm trying to figure out is how to configure the aurora so i can have analog outs 1&2 go out the analog IO ports but tap into outputs 3-8 to go through adat out so i can feed the channels to the Behringer.

Aurora->analog out 1&2->DB25 to monitor station
Aurora-> out 3-8 ->adat out->Behringer powerplay 16 rack->ethernet to P16 module

the idea is that within PT11, i can drop a send into specific tracks so the recording artist can control their mix independently of what i hear. so it's self monitoring. i assign the tracks via send, they balance it out in their ears.

I've messed with the Lynx software/mixer and cannot seem to get it to work. any suggestions?

The main problem is the LT-ADAT is not really the card for the job. The LS-ADAT connected to your AES16e would have been a much better solution. With the LT-ADAT you can get your output streams to mirror to ADAT. So, you can have outputs 3-8 go to the ADAT outs but they will ALSO go to the Aurora analog outputs. If that is OK, then there isn't really anything to configure. If you need the ADAT inputs to be active as well then it gets much trickier. Let me know if that is the case.

The LS-ADAT and the LT-ADAT are actually the same card, with just a different mounting bracket. If you can manage it aesthetically, you could remove the LT-ADAT from the Aurora and connect its ribbon cable to the LStream port on the AES16e card. Then use the Lynx Mixer to put the AES16e in 32-channel mode and reboot.

In this state, the AES16e will show up as a 32-channel device. Channels 1-16 will be AES (going to and from the Aurora), and channels 17-32 will be ADAT. Completely independent.

I appreciate your help.
