Hi,

I own a Lynx Aurora 8 channel fw. I plan to start using the 8 digital outs in addition to the 8 analog outs. I have talked to Lynx support and learned it is possible to use both at once. The analog i/o's live on my analog console and works perfectly. I have now bought a Tascam   IF AE/DM AES card for my Tascam mixer.

My question is this,

Tascam, I believe uses it's own pinouts on their digital DB25. I was told that Lynx uses Yamaha pinouts. I plan to buy a Lynx AES db25 cable from Sweetwater and wonder is that cable will work without issues, plugged into a Tascam digital DB25.

Can anyone provide info ?

Thanks in advance.

Danny

Danny, A Yamaha pinout digital cable will not work in a device that requires the Tascam pinout.
You could either get a Yamaha pinout cable that terminates in XLRs, like our DIGY85 cable, and then get an equivalent cable for the tascam device, and then connect the XLRS together. Out to In and In to Out.

OR,
You could get an pre-made or custom D25 crossover cable with Yamaha on one side and Tascam on the other (crossover in this case means outs wired to ins, and vice versa)

OR,
apparently there is an adapter that converts Yamaha pinout to Tascam. Unfortunately I do not have a make or model.

Good luck with this..

Paul,

Thanks. I relayed the info to Redco and they made the cable for me.
